Ajo (also called Esusu, Adashe, or Susu depending on your community) is a rotating savings circle. A group of people each contribute a fixed amount every period — weekly or monthly. Each round, one member receives the full pot. Kreditspark handles the trust layer: BVN verification, automatic debit, and guaranteed payout so the whole thing runs on its own. If a flat rotating amount doesn't fit, you can start a Sinking Fund group instead — everyone saves toward their own goal and date, with no fixed round payment.
Every member is BVN-verified before joining. Auto-debit kicks in on contribution day — members who miss a payment are flagged and removed before they can harm the group. High-risk members require a guarantor who co-signs their participation. Funds move through Squad, a CBN-licensed payment processor backed by Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GTCO) — your money never sits in a Kreditspark bank account.
Kreditspark charges a 5% platform fee on each payout — so if the pot is ₦100,000 you receive ₦95,000. There are no fees to join, no monthly subscription on the Free plan, and no hidden charges. Withdrawal fees depend on your bank and are shown before you confirm.
You choose when you create the group: First-Come-First-Served (position = join order), Lottery (verifiable random draw with a stored seed so anyone can replay it), Pick a Seat (members choose their own round number), or Manual (organiser assigns positions). The method is locked in before the first contribution so it cannot be changed mid-cycle.
Yes. Wallet balances not locked in an active Ajo round can be withdrawn to any Nigerian bank account instantly via Squad. Amounts in escrow (held for an upcoming payout or dispute) are shown separately and released once the hold condition is met.
Members who have not yet collected their payout can request to exit. Your position is offered to the next person on the waitlist. If no replacement is found within 7 days, the group organiser decides whether to continue with the remaining members or dissolve the group via a 67% majority vote.
